If you're looking for originality, then you've arrived at the right place. This is where earthquake prediction has been taken outside the box to a new realm. This site was developed to Practice Earthquake Prediction and it's a test program. Our current new endeavor is totest an array of gravity meters to ascertain if they can be used in the form of an array to predict earthquakes. This program is under scientific review at this time. Other methods we have employed have been in the use of seismicity pattern recognition, far field aftershock triggering, recurrence rates. Human earthquake sensitivity prediction is something we have developed and practiced for over ten years and this is demonstrated in our Earth Sounds program pages. No one can guarantee an earthquake will or won't happen, we can only use information which leads us to believe it might be possible.
We are joined daily by Dr. Lowell Whiteside who has a considerable experience in earthquake prediction and knowledge about the processes which influence earthquake behavior. In Lowell’s Blog he discusses current events, those he predicted and adds important insights into the earthquake initiation process.
After every M 7.0 or greater earthquake we develop Far Field Aftershock Triggering Maps demonstrating potential future locations that may experience earthquakes as a result of distant seismic wave triggering. And in the interim Don and I issue our predictions at will and we comment on our research in our blogs. We have known each other for over a decade and enjoy working together on this interesting Internet project.
Don and I have worked avidly and pro-actively on earthquake safety and have added our own unique suggestions that are not offered anywhere else in the world. Employing common sense answers to erstwhile situational concerns has been a challenge and yet we feel we have added another element to safety for life.
Don Eck is a retired military analyst, Dr. Lowell Whiteside is a retired geophysicist and I have been a loss prevention specialist and am presently self employed as a personal success coach for aspiring writers, product inventors and those who have an avid interest in moving forward on their personal projects.
